I am looking for 1 roommate for a 2Br/1BA apartment in prime Williamsburg starting November 1st for an 11-month sublease. The rent includes a once-a-month cleaning.
Location: Bedford Ave is the main hub of Williamsburg. The apartment is facing Bedford, but when you close the windows, it is super quiet, which I love since I am a relatively light sleeper. We get the afternoon sun, so I love sitting on our balcony and drinking some wine/tea/beer during summer time. Rabbithole is right across the street (awesome brunch), and the apartment is practically above the Bagel Store, which I go at least once a week. Dry cleaners, laundromats, and supermarkets (Whole Foods and Foodtown is on N3/N4 and Bedford) are all nearby. For gym, I am a member of RetroFitness which is a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is equally distant to the L Bedford train stop and the J,M,Z Marcy Ave stop.
Building: **The apartment is on the 4th floor of a walkup building** The super is always available. Whenever I have had to get something fixed, someone comes within 24 hours to fix it. Really well maintained building, built in 2006.
Your room: Windowed small bedroom that will be unfurnished, though my current roommate is looking to sell his bed which he bought less than a year ago (and I have a queen air mattress that you are welcome to stay on while getting things together). The room has a BIG closet. Very quiet and clean. Hardwood floors. My bedroom next to yours, though my closet is separating our walls.
Apartment: Fully furnished common space that has an open kitchen. The unit is in awesome condition with a balcony facing Bedford Ave.
Rent: $1580 per month (includes a cleaner coming to the apartment once a month) plus utilities & internet (usually ~ $80 per person each month and a bit more in the summer). $1580 security deposit required along with 1st month due at signing the sublease (total of $3160).
You: Easy-going, tidy male or female between the ages of 25-35. Working professional with stable income and can provide a paystub or employment letter. No cigarettes, hard drugs or pets please.
Me: Mid-20’s female professional working as a user experience researcher and designer. I am a clean and respectful roommate. Depending on the project I am on, I could be traveling from Monday – Thursday or working from home (though I usually go to a cafe nearby). My boyfriend also lives in the neighborhood and we will alternate sleeping at each others places. He is a really chill Dutch guy who works in breast cancer research.
